Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman has over 35 years of experience in consulting and expert witness investigations. Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman is a tenured, full professor of coastal science in the Department of Earth and Environment at Florida International University. He is joined by his son, Stephen B. Leatherman, who has a Ph.D. in coastal science and has conducted extensive research on rip currents and their hazards in South Florida. Stephen B. Leatherman is an experienced lifeguard and has assisted in swimming pool and beach accident cases in Florida, New Jersey, Louisiana and Costa Rica.
